Breast Lift Surgery

Breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a sophisticated procedure designed to elevate and reshape sagging breasts, restoring a youthful appearance. As skin loses elasticity with age, influenced by factors such as gravity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and weight loss, breasts may lose their natural shape and firmness. Our advanced surgical techniques are tailored to counteract these effects and provide a solution for those seeking a rejuvenated silhouette.

Reasons for Considering a Breast Lift:

Elevate sagging breasts due to aging and gravity.

Firm breasts that have lost shape post-pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Re-align nipples/areolas if low or asymmetrical.

Restore shape after weight loss.

Understanding The Journey

Performed under general anaesthesia, our breast lift surgery involves reducing the skin envelope and, importantly, reshaping the breast tissue. While the procedure does leave scars, our skilled surgeons employ techniques to minimise their impact. The choice of technique is personalised based on individual factors such as breast size and the extent of sagging. For those desiring additional fullness, a breast lift may be combined with breast enlargement surgery.

Post-surgery, patients generally stay overnight in our state-of-the-art facilities. The procedure is not usually painful, requiring only simple analgesia. Supportive dressings and a sports bra are used to aid breast support. Patients are advised to wear the bra day and night for the initial 2-3 weeks. Dressings are removed.

10-12 days later, and patients can gradually resume normal activities within 2-3 weeks, with impact exercises best left for 4-5 weeks.

At APS, complications following a breast lift are unusual. Infection and bleeding are uncommon, and while alterations in nipple sensation can occur, they typically resolve. Scars, though present, are strategically placed within the bra area and can be further optimized using Solution for Scars. Rarely, the blood supply to tissue, including the nipple can be compromised. Our commitment to excellence ensures that any potential asymmetry is addressed with secondary adjustments as needed. Mastopexy may affect breast feeding, but as this can cause drooping, treatment is best left until after completing a family.

At APS, our aim is for excellent aesthetic results and a personalised care at every step of your aesthetic journey.
