About Mr Douglas McGeorge
Mr Douglas McGeorge is a consultant plastic surgeon with more than three decades of experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. After qualifying from the University of Manchester in 1980, he trained across the UK before being appointed a consultant plastic surgeon, and was added to the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 1996.
He established the new plastic surgery unit in Chester in 1993 and went on to develop a particular specialist interest in cosmetic breast surgery and facial rejuvenation. A former President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), Mr McGeorge has played a leading role in shaping standards and safety in UK aesthetic surgery.
Today he works in full-time private practice across Manchester and Cheshire, treating patients from across the UK. He remains actively involved in the teaching of senior trainees and continues to contribute to the medical literature.
Awarded an MBE in 2018 for services to Charity, including the Prince's Trust, Centre for Social Justice and the Scar Free Foundation.
