Where the scars are
For upper eyelid surgery the incision is placed within the natural crease of the eyelid, so the scar is hidden in the fold. For lower eyelid surgery the incision may sit just below the lash line, or inside the eyelid (leaving no visible external scar), depending on the technique.
How they heal
Eyelid skin is thin and tends to heal well, and the scars usually fade to fine, inconspicuous lines over the following months.

Follow your surgical team’s guidance, and protect the area from the sun while it heals.
Realistic expectations
Eyelid surgery scars are usually among the most discreet, but they are still permanent. Scarring is individual, so a personal assessment is the only way to know what to expect for you.
