Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
It is important that before considering plastic or cosmetic surgery that you are in good general health and within seven pounds of what you see as your ideal weight. You will also need to share with us any problems in your past history and of any medication you may be taking. Smoking is contraindicated during the operative period with many aesthetic procedures.
Home » Will my insurance cover the surgery?
Insurance providers generally cover costs for reconstructive surgery but not for cosmetic surgery. For example, insurance providers will cover reconstruction of a breast following a mastectomy and often treatment of the other side to create symmetry, eyelid surgery to remove sagging skin that blocks vision or nasal surgery to allow a patient to breathe better. We can give advice on whether treatment is likely to be covered and will be happy to assist you with the process.
